A house on the moon

In a previous post I explored the new chat bot that OpenAi just released called ChatGPT. It occurred to me that it would be interesting to take an output from ChatGPT and provide that as an input for a generative artificial intelligence platform. So, let’s take this for a test drive.

Got any creative ideas for a house on the moon?
— Chat Input
While I’m not able to browse the internet, I can offer some general ideas for what a house on the moon might look like. One possibility is that a house on the moon could be built using materials that are readily available on the moon’s surface, such as moon rock and dust. This material could be used to create a sturdy and durable structure that could withstand the harsh conditions on the moon.

Another option would be to use a modular design for the house, allowing it to be easily assembled and disassembled as needed. This would make it easier to transport the house to the moon and would also allow for flexibility in terms of its layout and design.

In terms of the overall appearance of the house, it could be designed to blend in with the moon’s surface, using colors and textures that are similar to the moon’s rocky terrain. Alternatively, it could be designed to stand out, using bold colors and unique architectural features to make it a distinctive and eye-catching structure.

Regardless of its design, a house on the moon would need to be equipped with life support systems that could provide the necessary resources for human habitation, such as air, water, and food. It would also need to be equipped with technology to protect against the extreme temperatures and radiation levels on the moon.

My first thought here was, “wow, that’s a lot of information for a prompt.” But, I decided to just roll with it. So I went over to MidJourney and gave it a go.

A house on the moon, as imagined by ChatGPT and MidJourney.

It’s actually pretty slick looking. You can definitely see how it took the inputs of “blending in with the moon’s surface” to heart. I’d live in this house, how about you?
